Requirements

ITI or Diploma in Machinist, Turner, or Mechanical Engineering, minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in operating VTL machines, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, hands-on experience in boring, facing, grooving, and threading operations, knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as vernier, micrometer, and bore gauge, understanding of tool offsets, speeds, feeds, and machining tolerances, basic knowledge of CNC controls like Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain preferred, ability to maintain quality and productivity standards, good knowledge of machine maintenance and tool handling, must follow all safety procedures, willing to work in shifts and overtime when required, strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.


Description


Operate VTL machine for turning, facing, boring, and grooving operations, set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces as per job requirements, read and interpret engineering drawings and machining instructions, check and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments, adjust machine settings and cutting parameters to maintain required tolerances, monitor tool wear and perform tool changes, maintain records of operations and inspection results, carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, coordinate with the supervisor and quality team for production and process improvement, maintain proper housekeeping and follow all company policies and work instructions.
