Requirements

  • ITI / Diploma in Machinist or Mechanical Trade

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HBM operation

  • Hands-on experience in setup, boring, drilling, and facing operations

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Skilled in precision measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator)

  • Knowledge of tool setup, alignment, and job setting

  • Understanding of speed, feed, and cutting parameters

  • Basic machine maintenance knowledge

  • Familiar with Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain CNC controls (if applicable)

  • Must follow safety and quality standards

  • Ready to work in shifts / overtime if required

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.

  • Set up workpieces, tools, and fixtures on the HBM machine.

  • Operate manual or CNC Horizontal Boring Machines to perform machining operations.

  • Measure and verify dimensions using precision instruments (micrometer, vernier, bore gauge, etc.).

  • Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds to optimize performance and surface finish.

  • Monitor tool wear and replace tools as necessary.

  • Maintain machining records, operation logs, and inspection reports.

  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure the machine is in good working condition.

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth production flow.
