Horizontal Boring Machine Operator

Apply nowITI / Diploma in Machinist or Mechanical Trade
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HBM operation
Hands-on experience in setup, boring, drilling, and facing operations
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Skilled in precision measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator)
Knowledge of tool setup, alignment, and job setting
Understanding of speed, feed, and cutting parameters
Basic machine maintenance knowledge
Familiar with Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain CNC controls (if applicable)
Must follow safety and quality standards
Ready to work in shifts / overtime if required
Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.
Set up workpieces, tools, and fixtures on the HBM machine.
Operate manual or CNC Horizontal Boring Machines to perform machining operations.
Measure and verify dimensions using precision instruments (micrometer, vernier, bore gauge, etc.).
Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds to optimize performance and surface finish.
Monitor tool wear and replace tools as necessary.
Maintain machining records, operation logs, and inspection reports.
Perform routine maintenance and ensure the machine is in good working condition.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth production flow.
